Leeds Castle  – live it, love it! Deep in the cascading countryside of Kent sits Leeds Castle. Described by Lord Conway as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’, 500 acres of magnificent landscaped parkland surround the idyllic island. Henry VIII retreated to Leeds Castle to escape the plague raging in London during his reign. Early arrival ensures an almost private visit of Leeds Castle.

Canterbury – discover the magnificent medieval city and centre of English Christianity. The line of succession from Augustine has seen 104 Archbishops uphold this prestige. Archbishop Thomas Becket was gruesomely murdered at Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. Henry VIII destroyed religious buildings to suit his needs and the Cathedral was no exception. White Cliffs’ of Dover
The gateway to England! A port for over 2000 years, marvel at the White Cliffs of Dover and the English Channel. See Dover Castle, a key film location in The Other Boleyn Girl, which saw the castle transformed into the Tower of London where Anne Boleyn was imprisoned.

Canterbury Cathedral

Canterbury Cathedral is made famous for being the place where the head of the Church of England resides. It is also famous for the gruesome murder of the Saint - Thomas Becket. Its truly an impressive building and steeped in medieval history

We depart London early morning and start by visiting Canterbury - one of the oldest known cities in the UK and considered to be the medieval 'gateway to Europe'. We have a short guided tour and you can choose to visit the famous Canterbury Cathedral afterwards to hear about the latter-day-saint, Thomas Beckett. You have free time to enjoy the sights before we head to Leeds Castle.

Leeds Castle is considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in the world as it is built on an island in the middle of a lake. Used frequently by King Henry VIII it has been transformed and maintained marvelously. The grounds surrounding the castle also boast a huge variety of bird-life and a labyrinth to get lost in. We spend a good amount of time enjoying this attraction before we take a short journey to the White Cliffs of Dover for a photo stop - look out of Dover Castle too!
